Privacy Policy
Last updated May 1, 2026.
Tellr provides a fraud detection API. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it plus the rights every user has over that data.
1. Who we are
Tellr Inc. is a Delaware C corporation. You can reach us any time at privacy@tellr.tech.
2. Data we collect on behalf of customers
When a customer integrates Tellr, we receive signals about each user that signs up. These signals are scoped to that customer's project. We process them under the customer's instructions to return a verdict, a score plus an explanation.
- Network signals such as IP address, ASN plus Tor or proxy classification.
- Browser signals such as TLS fingerprint, canvas hash plus user agent.
- Behavior signals such as typing cadence and form interaction timing.
- Identity signals such as email shape and the BIN class of a payment card.
3. How we use signals
Signals are used only to compute the verdict for that customer's project. We do not build a cross customer profile. We do not resell signals to third parties. We do not use signals to train shared models without explicit opt in.
4. Retention
Each project sets its own retention window in the dashboard. After that window, raw check rows and signal payloads are deleted. Aggregated user records and the Tellr ID are kept until the customer deletes the user or terminates the project.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is gated by SSO and role based permissions. See the Security overview for the full control list.
6. Your rights
If you believe Tellr holds data about you, contact the customer that runs the project you signed up with. They control the data and the retention. Tellr will assist them on request.
